A landscaper is someone who designs the layout of a garden, does the implementation and installation of the plants and hard landscaping as well as the maintenance of it. But landscaping should be more than just that, it should be done in a sustainable manner to minimize the carbon footprint of resourcing materials etc. As a result I became more interested in edible landscapes and food gardening and thus my aspiration to one day become a micro farmer was born.

 

This objective of mine started when I finished my National Diploma

in Landscape Technology at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) and realized that my interests lies more within the horticultural circles and that of growing my own organic vegetables and herbs. And so the idea of starting my own business was born.
